What are the main risks and challenges to your project meeting its aims? What will you do to manage these risks?
example answers
Risk: Deadline for recording interviews with participants not met
Mitigation: As the interviews are essential to the success of the project we have ensured that we have strong partners, and existing community relationships so can begin work immediately. We have built a contingency into the project timeline and the creative team could work with a reduced number using the interviewees that we have already identified, for stage 1 of the R&D, allowing us until stage 2 to complete the remaining interviews
Risk: Cast illness due to COVID
Mitigation: The community cast will agree working ground rules which will include COVID safe procedures and regular testing. We will use a well ventilated rehearsal space. The creative team will use ensemble work and work with the cast who have individual performances to devise alternative ways of recording or presenting these if needed.

- Closely monitor box office sales and adjust the budget if needed. I have included a contingency and I have projected ticket income in detail with the venue. Some costs in consumables and printing can also be reduced if audience numbers are lower.
- Work with BW Marketing to sell tickets for the show who are experienced in marketing contemporary circus. We have a detailed audience development plan (see attachments), strong supporting partners for marketing (see table) and the workshop attendees will create a core audience of confirmed attenders
- Put strong financial management in place including regularly updating the budget actuals…
