Our organisation has made a name for itself as a home for learning and culture for all, and we have successfully engaged diverse groups and local communities through creative activity. In the last year we have run weekly groups and several holiday projects. Most recently we delivered a successful and extensive ACE funded project, Read and Rhyme, in partnership with local schools and the library. 27 artists were commissioned to deliver 9 new initiatives including writing workshops, a vlogging series and a rhyme and storytelling group for families where English is their second language. We have been recognised by the Arts Connected network for our unique offer, and attracted significant interest from other organisations, winning Best Initiative Award from the network for our project placing young people at the heart of the commissioning process.
