This project will develop my work artistically as well as building on previous work to develop strategic links and partnerships. In terms of my creative development, this will be the first time I have collaborated with a writer and it will be an opportunity to explore how live performance, my digital work and writing can intersect. Working with Layla as writer means I can strengthen my understanding of the writing process and develop the storytelling in my performance pieces. This project will also be important in terms of my career development. The partnerships with venues will provide a larger platform than I have had previously and will provide the opportunity for relationship building with programmers, supporting future work. Currently this approach has been delivered on a hyper-local level and this funding would allow us to explore what happens if we apply this on a city-wide or a national level. We aim to develop a methodology which can be shared with the wider industry, both through the organisations in the project and through dissemination of the project findings with regional and national partners. This national platform will afford us the ambitious step up, enabling us to take our learning and work to new locations and…
