Guilford is largely represented as an affluent town but there are pockets of significant deprivation. All the organisations who are partnering on this project have identified a need for creative family learning activities for vulnerable families and young people in the area, based on client feedback. Aspirations in this group are low and activities outside of the home are limited, particularly opportunities for learning new skills.
